Description
This Navigation Button TFT Panel has a 5-Way directional combo switch pad and a 1.44″ TFT display in a single, each-to-use kit. This panel helps you make a professional looking project without ugly fixing screws. It also hides the edges of your enclosure cut-out for a neat, tidy and great looking project.
This is supplied as a kit provides everything you need to create that terrific-looking project interface. The kit comprises:
- High-quality custom-made bezel Panel
- Set of 5 directional combo switches
- Custom switch PCB
- Switch connector, Female header 6-way (2×3)
- 1.44″ TFT display with headers
- Screws and headers
The PCB connects the 5 buttons to a common ground pin, with a ground plane. Each switch “pulls low” to the common ground (e.g. to suit Arduino etc).
The switches are mounted onto the custom PCB’s front. The female header connector is soldered to the rear. The PCB assembly is secured to the rear of the Bezel with the screws provided. The TFT is held in position with 4 screws provided, after soldering the male header pins. You can, of course, solder wiring directly to the switch PCB and display, instead of using the headers.
The complete panel assembly is then mounted into your enclosure or panel, and held in place with adhesive (not supplied). Full instructions are supplied.
The 1.44″ TFT is a commonly available 128 x 128 RGB TFT with SPI interface (ST7735s), and the bezel is custom made for the TFT included in the kit. The TFT is mounted in landscape mode, and you will need to code your software to rotate the display into the desired orientation.
You may mount the panel with the display to the left or right side. You could also mount the panel vertically (in portrait mode) with the buttons on the top of bottom. It is a very versatile module! All you will need to do is to code your software to suit the orientation of the TFT display. The switch PCB can be fixed in any orientation.
The panel overlaps the front of the enclosure or panel by 3mm all round, thus hiding that untidy cut-out and giving a nice, clean and professional finish! The bezel is made from high-quality acrylic with a professional smooth glossy front. This is NOT a cheap 3D printed part.
This is a terrific kit for your hobby and home projects, allowing a new way to interact with the project.
