Description
Mounting Pogo Pins in a neat row with consistent height and alignment can be tricky!
This handy tool makes it much easier to mount a row of Pogo Pins onto a 2.54mm matrix. The tool is designed to allow the mounting of any number of Pogo Pins in a row (4 at a time).
It has space of 19mm for the Pogo Pins (remember that you have to leave the ends sticking out to pass though the PCB and to apply solder (perhaps 2.5mm to 3mm). It is designed for Pogo Pins of 1mm diameter, but it will actually handle thicker pins. The inner recess gives space for the heads of the pins which are usually wider.
There is an adjustable guide inside to pre-set the length you need (held with a screw). Then you place the pins and put the top grip in position which is held with a second screw. When you insert the pins into the PCB, the face of the Setting Tool holds the pins straight up. The result is a row of accurately placed Pogo Pins!
We use Pogo Pins for our own test beds and have found this tool so useful, we thought we should offer it for sale.
Instructions are provided.
